She was predeceased by : her parents, Paul Severson and Aagot Severson (Nygaard); her husband Tom Schaefer; her son Greg Schaefer; and her siblings, Paul, Phillip, Leslie, Amy, Pearl, Jane, Jean and Gloria.

She is survived by : her children, Jackie Havlick (AI), Gail Melton, Cindy Lawson (Dana), Donna Stovall (Sam), John Schaefer and Pete Schaefer; and her sisters, Faith and Donna. She is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
