He was predeceased by : his parents, Arnold Johnson and Margaret Johnson (Dykes); his son Patrick Jr.; his grandson Demitri Sanchez; and his siblings, Michael Gaye and Annie Johnson.

He is survived by : his significant other Jeanette Goetsch; his children, Katie Johnson (Jesus), Deidre Johnson (John), Annah Dockendorf (Joshua), Angela Sexton, Dezirae Keudell of Brookings, SD and Aaron Keudell; and his sisters, Brenda Stensrud (Jeff), Kelley Farrow (Robert), Mary Johnson-Thompson (Rodney) and Williams.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Miller-Carlin Funeral Home (300 Railroad Ave, Albany, MN 56307). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
