He was predeceased by: his parents, Ray VanRyswyk and Lorraine VanRyswyk; and his parents-in-law, Barbara Hanson and Clayton Thompson. He is survived by: his wife Susan; his children, Grant (Amber) and Amanda (Matt); his siblings, Greg VanRyswyk (Cindy), John VanRyswyk and Roxanne VanRyswyk; his grandchildren, Athena, Aurora, Gavin, Isaiah, Mason, Jacob and Evan; his siblings' children, Brody VanRyswyk, Brice Griener, Krystal Gravelle (Bryan), Kimberly Sullivan (Jake) and Courtney Vogel (Matt); his father-in-law Willis Hanson; his siblings-in-law, Ken Thompson (Lori) and Christine Campbell (Tom); and his pet Lucy.
Visitation was held on Monday, October 27th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Tuesday, October 28th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Bayview Funeral Home (1415 State Hwy 13, Albert Lea, MN 56007). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, October 28th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, October 28th 2025 at the Graceland Cemetery (1800 W Main St, Albert Lea, MN 56007).
