He was predeceased by: his parents, Neal Rietveld and Jennie Rietveld (Loverink); his former wives, Nancy Fell of Waseca and Gertrude; his brothers, Bob and Jack; and his nephew Neal.
He is survived by: his wife Ruth Ann Severtson Rietveld; his children, Angie Strommer (Dave) of Alaska, Ron Rietveld (Jaci) of Aitkin, Connie Kingsley Ford (Daniel) of Aitkin, Dan Rietveld (Roxanne) of Aitkin, MN and Bob Rietveld (Jessica) of Austin; his stepchildren, Jeff Severtson (Janet) of Plymouth, Stacia Schumaker (Mark) of Glenville, Sandin Grasdalen (Lisa) of Edgewood, WA, Chad Severtson (Nicky) of Albert Lea and Jason Severtson (Laurie) of Union, KY; and his siblings, Tom Rietveld (Joyce) of Owatonna, Irene Rietveld of Rose Creek and Betty Porta (Peter) of Johnson City, TN. He is also survived by his 21 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren; and by and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Bridge Community Church.
