She was predeceased by: her parents, Inga C. Mehus (Burkhow) and Nels H. Mehus; her siblings, Irene Gordon (George), Darlene Dobberstein (Carl), Glen Mehus, Gene Mehus (Audrey), Arlo Mehus, Virgil Mehus (Helen) and Herb Mehus; and her sister-in-law Audrey Mehus.
She is survived by: her husband Dennis Nelson; her children, David Nelson (Sandy), Darwin Nelson (Mary) and Dawn Nelson (Robert Nesset); her grandchildren, Jessica Asay (Jared), Zachary Nelson (Micayla), Dalton Nesset, Devin Nelson, Katelyn Hanson (Brennan) and Kayler Nesset (Charley Elwood); her great grandchildren, Madelyn, Isla Asay and Brooks Nelson; her brother Marion Mehus; her sister-in-law Ruth Mehus; and her in-laws, Robert "Gundy" Nelson (Sandie), Sharon Olson (Ron), Barbara Allan, LaVonne Dougherty and Charlotte Nelson-Schocker.
