Elaine Long Obituary

We bid farewell to Elaine Long (Albert Lea, Minnesota), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on August 22, 2025 at the age of 85. Elaine touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, J. Glenn Rusley and Myrtice Rusley; her husband David Long, Sr.; her grandson Evan Long; her siblings, Pendra Nelsen and Robert Rusley; and her brothers-in-law, Paul Nelsen, Richard Rye Sr., Richard Werner, Glenn Long, Leo Long, Norm Anderson and Howard Germanson.

She is survived by: her children, David Long, Jr. and Lisa Koenecke (Greg); her grandchildren, Kayla Koenecke, Mitchell Koenecke (Courtney) and Joel Koenecke (Eleanor); her great grandchildren, Nichole Whitlock (Casey), Sage Long and Etta Koenecke; her sisters, Janet Werner and Donna Rye (Vern); and her siblings-in-law, Phyllis Rusley, Bonnie Anderson, Roberta Germanson, Nancy Berg (Bud) and Dennis Long (Mary). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Memorial donations can be made in Elaine's name to Grace Lutheran Church or the Alzheimer's Foundation of America.
