He is survived by: his wife Lois Heckes; his children, Kelli Haase (Brad), Konni Crowell (Tim) and Kevin Verdoorn; his grandchildren, Katie Brandt (Mike), Brett Haase (Ashley), Tyler Thomsen and Emily Thomsen; and his great grandchildren, Bryn, Anden, Ledger, Kenna, Gage, Hudson, Nash, Nova, Brysen and Elliot. He is also survived by his family, friends, neighbors.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Thursday, September 17th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. A memorial service was held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Bonnerup Funeral Service (2210 E Main St, Albert Lea, MN 56007).
