He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Johnson and Helen Johnson; his son-in-law Todd Schumaker; his parents-in-law, Laurence Supalla and Irene Supalla; his siblings-in-law, Mike Supalla, Reuben Woitas and Betty Woitas; and his pets, Bagel, Shakespeare and Meeka.
He is survived by: his wife Christine; his children, Nicole Schumaker, Chad Toft (Megan), Jennifer Ewing (Gregg) and Mark Johnson (Ellen); his grandchildren, Brody Schumaker, Logan Schumaker (Maleah), Natalie Toft, Shellby, Pennelope Ewing, Lauren, Kaila and Brooks Johnson; his great grandchild Evelyn Lee Schumaker; his siblings, Kristi LaPointe (Ed), Gary Johnson and Paul Johnson (Jeanette); and his siblings-in-law, Gretchen Supalla, Barb Lyndgaard (Dave) and Randy Supalla (Sue).
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Zion Lutheran Church (924 Bridge Ave, Albert Lea, MN 56007). A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the Graceland Cemetery (1800 W Main St, Albert Lea, MN 56007).
