He is survived by: his wife Kathy Engel of Hartland; his children, Travis Engel (Michele) of Wallkill, NY and Meridee Strouf (Jesse) of Albert Lea; his granddaughter Rosalynne "Rosie" Strouf; his father Russel Engel of Freeborn; his brothers, Russel Engel Jr. of Freeborn and Jeremy Engel (Vicki) of Owatonna; and his cousin Michael Kemmits.
His final act of generosity was to donate his organs to better the lives of others.
