With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Maxine N. Hanson of Albert Lea, Minnesota, who passed away on November 2, 2025 at the age of 102. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Martin Reese and Nina Reese; her husband Harlan H. Hanson of Clarks Grove; and her son Jay T. Hanson. She is survived by: her children, Judy Johnson (Gary), Janice Brandt (Dennis), Jackie Groe (Lonnie) and Jeffrey Hanson (Susan); her grandchildren, Tony, Tim Johnson, Andrea Irlas, Jennifer Brandt, Randy, Scott Groe, Zach, Jake Hanson, Wyatt and Parker Hanson; her great grandchildren, Tonya, Matt Johnson, Tyler, Chad Johnson, Frankie, Xavier Irlas, Myla, Owen Groe, Jackson Groe and Lucas Hanson; her great great grandchild Paisley Johnson; Lisa Hanson. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 7th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the First Lutheran Church (301 W Clark St, Albert Lea, MN 56007). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
