He was predeceased by: his parents, William Goette and Alice Goette (Brandt); his sons, Dean Goette and Jerome Goette; his brothers, Howard, Chuck and Bennett Goette; and his parents-in-law, Christopher and Dorothy Engebretson.
He is survived by: his wife Lorraine Goette; his children, Brenda Cords (Jim) and Rodney Goette (Deb); his daughter-in-law DeeAnn Goette; his grandchildren, Ranell Wacek (Isreal), Randi Peterson (Jon), Ryan Goette (Megan), Rachelle Herman (Shawn), Nathan Goette (Hannah), Josh Cords (Katie), Andy Cords (Amber), MaKenzie Cruz (Carlos), Nick Goette, Caitlin Goette (Sam Roelofs) and Tilman Blezinger (Katharina Vestweber) of Germany; and his sisters, Margaret Bartness and Kathleen Peterson. He is also survived by 27 great-grandchildren, several in-laws and many nieces, nephews, close friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorials be made to the American Legion Post 56, St. Croix Hospice, or the West Freeborn Cemetery Fund.
