He is survived by: his friend Phyllis Thulin; his children, Gordon Bartels (Debbie) of Eagle Bend, Gloriann Bartels (Rick Sullivan) of Hewitt, Glenn Bartels (Judy) of Bismarck, Georgi Meier (Chad) of Sinai, Gerald Bartels of Fairmont and Gary Bartels (Donna) of Bertha; and his siblings, Marlys Eckhoff, Duane Bartels (JoAnne), Donald Bartels (Alice), Ronald Bartels (Pat) and Alden Bartels (Phyllis). He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
