She was predeceased by: her husband David; her parents, Julia Klute and Herb Klute; her stepmother Joy Klute; her sister Sandy Klute Young; and her siblings-in-law, Warren Creager, Lloyd, Ardelle Froemming, Chris, Bobette McCabe and Bob Morickey.

She is survived by: her children, Fred, Ruth and Linda; her siblings, Fred Klute (Janet), Ruth Heins (Roger), Linda Creager, Judy Johnson (Richard), Betty Blase (Vern), Dale Klute (Shawna) and Dan Klute (Kim); her siblings-in-law, Dale Young (Janet) and Cheryl Dittberner Morickey; her children, Mike (AJ Jones), Tim (Jane), Joel (Chris) and Debbie (Jay Sieling); her grandchildren, Sam Dittberner (Ashley), Jordan Dittberner (Kaylee), Emma Erickson (Colin), Alex Dittberner, William Sieling, Annie Bushey (Jake), Juliana Sieling (Britta Rinke) and Trevor Dittberner (Ally); and her great grandchildren, Leni Dittberner, Liza Dittberner, Finn Erickson, Ryder Dittberner, Nora Dittberner, Archer Erickson, Reese Dittberner, Deacon Dittberner, Greta Bushey, Demi Dittberner, Scarlet Dittberner, Lucy Bushey and Linnea Rinke.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Calvary Church-Alexandria (605 Douglas St, Alexandria, MN 56308). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, Caroline wished for memorial gifts to be directed to the Alexandria Education Foundation (https://alexeducationfoundation.org) or to Backpack Attack Events sponsored by United Way and Calvary Lutheran Church in Alexandria, MN, two causes that reflect her lifelong love of learning, service, and care for others.
