He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Nibbe and Pansy Nibbe; his brother Dale Nibbe; his niece Kara Strunk; his parents-in-law, Cam and Helen Strunk; and his siblings-in-law, Maxine Nibbe, Sharon Strunk and Keith Strunk.
He is survived by: his wife Carole Jean Nibbe; his children, Jay Nibbe, Dawn Guse (Lorne) and Jeffrey Nibbe (Alissa); his grandchildren, Justin, Alexander Guse, Cameron, Samuel, Jeremiah and Elijah Nibbe; his siblings, Donald, Roger (Arlou) and Cindy Sprouls; and his siblings-in-law, Kay Nibbe, Jill Strunk, David Strunk and John Strunk (Pirjo).
He instilled values of commitment and community service in his children, which has carried on through the initiatives created by the Nibbe Family Foundation and The Nibbe Track and Field Invitational.
