We are sad to announce that, on July 11, 2022, at the age of 90, Duane Lennart Hammargren (Alexandria, Minnesota), born in Saint Paul, Minnesota passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Jo; his parents, Lennart Hammargren and Edith Hammargren (Strong); his former wife Ruth JoAnne Hammargren; his daughter Kathryn Ann Lovik; his brother Bill Hammargren (Linda); his children, Karen Mortensen (Mark Wilkes), David Hammargren (Elizabeth Coover), Mary Hammargren (Bill Olson) and John Hammargren (Heather); his son-in-law Thomas Lovik; his grandchildren, Michelle Harren (Ben), Heather Mortensen (Tim Anderson), Rebecca Hammargren (Brian Haas), Kristin Hammargren (Anastasia Sasewich), Thomas, Jackson, Lennart Hammargren, Andrew Olson (Callen), Charles Olson (Nicollette), Laura Hammargren (Cristof Traudes), Benjamin Hammargren (Jennifer), Abby Cassidy, Henry Lovik, Ava Lovik and Louis Lovik; and his great grandchildren, Anna, Nicholas, Madeline, Emily Harren, Payton, Ali Anderson, Kinley, Rhett Olson, Eli, Owen Hammargren, Sophie and Emma Traudes.

I work in the culinary dept so when Covid started I was delivering meals too their rooms. He really knew his sports and after Covid when we opened the dining room he loved his coffee and was always appreciated when I would have it poured and sitting at his table and couldn't figure out how I had it ready and hot before he got to the table and finally told him I would look for him coming off the elevator.
