She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Gort and Angie Gort (Hoogeveen); her husband Roger Smith; and her brother Vern Gort. She is survived by: her children, Brad Smith (Shari) of Alexandria, Brian Smith (Cammie) of Port Charlotte, Florida and Barb Busch (Jay) of Park Rapids; her sisters, Erna Fedders (Gary) and Arlys Westra (Ken); her siblings-in-law, Elaine Gort and Darrell Smith; and her granddaughters, Erin Lucas, Brinn Busch and McKenna Kari. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and many special friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 7th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Alexandria Covenant Church (4005 Dakota St, Alexandria, MN 56308). A memorial service will be held on Monday, July 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, July 7th 2025 at the Evergreen Cemetery (3443 Evergreen Ln SW, Alexandria, MN 56308).
