It is with sadness that the passing of Jay Gullickson (Alexandria, Minnesota) is shared. Jay, born on August 5, 1939 in Mason City, Iowa, passed away on September 3, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Gullickson and Marcella Gullickson; his brother Robert; his niece Kim; his parents-in-law, Ingvold and Thelma Leegaard; his son-in-law Rick; and his siblings-in-law, Jerry, Bill and Sheryl.
He is survived by: his wife Iva Leegaard; his children, Jodean (Jill), Judi Femrite (Mark) and Jennifer Hayes (Tom); his grandchildren, Haley, Elizabeth, Derek, Ethan, Samuel, Nelsen and Joseph; his great grandchildren, Maddie, Nash, Braxton, Emersyn, George, Crue, Carter and Ava; and his siblings, Arlen (Janet) and JoAnn Alexander.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Thursday, September 10th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Anderson Funeral Home (659 Voyager Dr, Alexandria, MN 56308). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials are preferred to Vivie Hospice.
