He was predeceased by: his father Duane Nelson; and his grandparents, Erick, Annie Grosz, Marvin and Arline Nelson.
He is survived by: his mother LaVile Nelson (Grosz) of Richfield; his wife Shari Prior of Alexandria; his children, Heather Nelson (Maureen Meyers) of Morris, Paris Nelson of Starbuck and Eric Nelson of Starbuck; his stepchildren, Marley Hoeft, Chloe Hoeft of Colorado Springs, CO and Cassandra Hoeft of Camas, WA; his brothers, Scott Nelson of Richfield, Ronald Nelson (Lisa) of Savage and Steven Nelson of Richfield; his great grandchildren, Kendyl Kelly and MahLoy Nelson; and his nephews, Cory and Andrew Nelson (Julie Nelson) of Starbuck.
Visitation was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Calendar Starbuck Funeral Home (106 W 4th St, Starbuck, MN 56381). A memorial service was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location.
