He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Folger and June Folger (Bye); his stepfather George Bollum; his brothers, John, Mike and Richard; and his parents-in-law, Lois and Merlin Peterson.
He is survived by: his wife Sonja Peterson of Alexandria; his daughter Heather Keating of Sauk Centre; his siblings, Deb Bye (Randy) of Kensington, Daniel Folger (Leslie) of Hull and England; his sister-in-law Sue Folger; his grandchildren, Lindsey Erickson, Caitlin Erickson (Chris Freese), Ayden Kapphahn and Cael Kapphahn; his great grandchild Carson Erickson; his brother-in-law Michael Peterson (Marie) of Alexandria; and his friend Jill Fox of St. Cloud. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 18th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Calvary Lutheran Church (605 Douglas St, Alexandria, MN 56308). A memorial service was held on Thursday, September 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
