He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd M, Sr. and Myrtle V Berger (Iverson); and his wife Sandra. He is survived by: his children, Matthew L. Berger, Kristi Malmgren (Michael) and Sarah Herr (Bryan); his grandchildren, Carter Malmgren and Ruby Herr; his siblings-in-law, Barry and Susan Froiland; and his nieces and nephews, Reid, Taylor, Dane and Marah. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, October 4th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Monday, October 5th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Monday, October 5th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Shalom Lutheran Church (681 Voyager Dr, Alexandria, MN 56308).
Memorials are preferred to MNHS (Minnesota Historical Society).
