He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Madson and Linnea Madson (Warling); his wife Grace; and his siblings, Marjorie and DuWayne.

He is survived by: his brothers, Howard, Chuck and Claire; his children, Tim (Heidi), John, Barbara (Stephen) and Matthew (Stephanie); and his grandchildren, Emily, Olivia, Ethan, Noah and Isabella.
