It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Maynard DuWayne Hoium (Alexandria, Minnesota), who passed away on June 12, 2022, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin Hoium and Florence Hoium (Arneson); his parents-in-law, Herbert and Valborg Johnshoy; his son Joel Hoium; and his siblings-in-law, Herbert Johnshoy Jr., Lauris Johnshoy, Warren Huebner, David Johnshoy and Sandy Larson.

He is survived by: his wife Vernice Annette Johnshoy; his daughters, Jody Mathias (Mike) and Julie Holte (Mike); his daughter-in-law Suzie Kletcher (Tim); his grandchildren, Jenifer Mastrud (Nathan), Heather Larson (Isaac), Alexis Mathias, Gina Routh (Jared), David Holte (Jordan), Eric Hoium and Elle Kletcher; his great grandchildren, Morgan, Hayden, Charles, Chase, Charlotte, Eloise, Luke and Declan; his sisters-in-law, Connie Johnshoy, Sharon Johnshoy, Delores Huebner and Lynn Johnshoy; his grandchildren, Dennis, Brenda DeGier (Randall) and Randi Grover (Al); and his brothers-in-law, Arvid Larson and Glen Johnshoy (Dottie).

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Fron Cemetery or Lakes Area Humane Society. In lieu of thank-yous, a donation will be given to Calvary Lutheran Church.
