She was predeceased by: her father Roland Olson; and her brother-in-law Bruce Russell. She is survived by: her children, Bertha of Bolivia and Nikos of Indonesia; her mother Virginia "Ginny" Olson (Austin); her sister Linda Russell of Blaine, MN; her daughter Melissa Speiser (Justin); her brother Byron "Bud" Olson (Mary) of Rapid City, SD; and her siblings' children, Chris, Jacqueline Lane (Dan), Sara Fox (Josh) and Tom (Jesse). She is also survived by several nephews and nieces.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Anderson-TeBeest Funeral Home of Montevideo (629 N 3rd St, Montevideo, MN 56265). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy be made in the form of a contribution to Douglas County Food Shelf or to a local Humane Society in memory of Norma's passions.
