She was predeceased by: her father Roland Olson; and her brother-in-law Bruce Russell. She is survived by: her children, Bertha of Bolivia and Nikos of Indonesia; her mother Virginia "Ginny" Olson (Austin); her sister Linda Russell of Blaine, MN; her daughter Melissa Speiser (Justin); her brother Byron "Bud" Olson (Mary) of Rapid City, SD; and her nieces and nephews, Chris, Jacqueline Lane (Dan), Sara Fox (Josh) and Tom (Jess).
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy be made in the form of a contribution to Douglas County Food Shelf or to a local Humane Society in memory of Norma's passions.
