In loving memory of Richard Edward Braun (Alexandria, Minnesota), who departed this world on December 3, 2025 at the age of 94. Richard leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. As we bid adieu to Richard's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in his wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Richard has bequeathed us. For though he may have departed from our sight, his spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Edward J Braun and Catherine Braun (Wengler); his wife Marlene Mattson of Willmar, MN; and his children, Erik and Amy.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Bethesda Lutheran Church (1204 N Nokomis NE, Alexandria, MN 56308). The military honors will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Kinkead Cemetery (530 Agnes Blvd NW, Alexandria, MN 56308).
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Outreach Food Shelf.
