She was predeceased by : her parents, William Weisel and Nellie Weisel (Thompson); her grandmothers, Helen and Manly; and her husband Dave Nelson.

She is survived by : her daughters, Patti Loeppke (Jay) of Alexandria and Linda Radi (Larry) of Billings, Montana; her grandchildren, Jayson Loeppke (Janie), Jenna Carr (Michael), Krista Frank (Jason), Michael Radi (Kassandra) and Kaitlyn Radi; her great grandchildren, Edward, Laurel Loeppke, Sisi, Jojo Carr, Tenley, AJ Frank and Anders Radi; and her brother-in-law Al Nelson (Bev).

“So sorry to hear of the death of your mom and grandmother. Ruth was a special lady and very kind. Enjoyed visiting with your mom and dad when cousins gathered together. Your mom and dad were so gracious to visit with mom and Leo when they were in assisted living and extended care facilities. She will be missed. I am sorry that I won't be able to attend tomorrow.
