He is survived by: his sons, Steve Maack (Jana) and Jon Maack; his grandchildren, Brody Maack (Sarah) and Whitney Savage (Micah); his great grandchildren, Eli, Gus and Lola Maack; his brother Robert Maack (Janet); his brother-in-law Nick Peterson (Gayle); his siblings, Joan Pinkney, Lyle (Ethel Maack) and Glen (Etta Maack); Janice Helgeson (Warren) and Judith Emery (David). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
