With profound sadness, we say goodbye to David Simmons of Andover, Minnesota, born in San Antonio, Texas, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. David left this world on April 18, 2024 at the age of 71, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Donald Sr. Simmons and Josephine Simmons; his in-laws, Joseph and Lorraine Goeden; and his siblings-in-law, Annette Goeden, Karen Simmons and Jerry Goeden.

He is survived by : his wife Janel Goeden of Ann's Catholic Church; his children, Brian (Andrea), Anne (Drew), Eric and Greg (Kami); his grandchildren, Adelaide, Clara, Wesley, Lauren, Logan, Jack, Emily, Bridget, Hali and Hugo; and his siblings, Don, Dan Simmons (Teri) and Diana Anderson (Doug). He is also survived by his grandchildren, and took pride in his family.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 24th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, April 25th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A rosary was held on Wednesday, April 24th 2024 at 7:30 PM at the Thurston-DeShaw Funeral Home (13817 Jay St NW, Andover, MN 55304). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, April 25th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the St. Stephen's Catholic Church (525 Jackson St, Anoka, MN 55303).
