He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Olson and Sybil Olson (Johnson); and his siblings, Joan Ganseveld and Earl Olson. He is survived by: his wife Darlene Taylor; his children, Nancy Ringel (Rick) of Blaine, Christi Haupert (Leonard) of Coon Rapids and Michael Olson (Debra) of Ham Lake; his brother Thomas Olson (Julia) of Minnetonka; and his sister-in-law Anne Olson of New Richmond, WI. He is also survived by six grandchildren; ten great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
