He was predeceased by : his parents, Harry Shern and Randyne Shern (Banken); his brother Gerald "Jerry"; and his sister-in-law Diana "Penny" Shern. He is survived by : his wife Lois Carol Jacobson; his children, Robin Humbert (Tom) of Frisco, TX and Rande Shern (Yukiko) of Marietta, GA; his grandchildren, Hannah Brewer of Boston, MA, Joshua Brewer and Benjamin Brewer; and his brother Gene Shern (Mel) of Petaluma, CA..
