As we bid farewell to this luminous soul, let his loved ones carry forward the torch of his memory, illuminating the path ahead with the warmth of his love and the brilliance of his spirit. Though Alan may journey beyond the horizon of our sight, his essence remains woven into the very fabric of our being — a guiding light in the darkness, a beacon of hope in the night.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin and Enid; his brother David; and his son Michael. He is survived by: his wife Sumalee; his daughter Erin Toenjes; his siblings, Norman Toenjes (Cheryl Kingrea), Neil Toenjes (Sherry), Kristin Olson (Carlyle), Ed Toenjes (Jane) and Laurie Waldbillig (Bob); and his sister-in-law Jean Toenjes. He is also survived by stepchildren, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 at 11:10 AM at the Fort Snelling National Cemetery (7601 34th Ave S, Minneapolis, MN 55450).
