We are sad to announce that, on March 10, 2020, at the age of 93, Gene Johnston (Angus, Minnesota) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Johnston and Anna Johnston (Madsen); his wife Jean Parkin; his grandchildren, Jason Johnston, Thomas Johnston and Jodi Wilson; and his siblings, Stanley Johnston, Elaine Maruska and Eleanor Wittman.

He is survived by: his children, Gary Johnston (Carey) of Angus, Todd Johnston (Kathy) of Angus, Jay Johnston (Mary) of Angus, Vickie Wilson (Gary) of Roseau, MN and Diane Johnson (Kendall) of Gwinner, ND. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; twenty-eight great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

“Sad to here of Gene's passing. My parents always had a fond spot in their hearts for him. Always had a good laugh when he came around with his humor and the stories he would tell. Believe it was at one of the state Holstein convention that our parents came to know each other. Always laughed because sometimes dad couldn't tell if he was telling the truth or just pulling his leg. There will be many fond memories about Gene and your family... Paul and Laurie Schroeder”
