She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Klemz and Ruth Klemz (Sheldon); her husband Dale W. Barnes; her daughter Gerri Merkwan; and her siblings, Iva Martinson, Lucille Venske, Vivian Bratsch, Judy Herzog, Lloyd, Russell, Marvin, Dayle, Bud and Neil Klemz.
She is survived by: her children, Jilene Laney (Rusty) of Pillager, Charles Barnes (Lisha) of Annandale and Tammy Barnes (Kyle Schmidt) of Annandale; her son-in-law Mike Merkwan of Volin, SD; and her siblings, Gladys Ahsenmacher and Jack Klemz. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.
