He was predeceased by: his parents, Lon Hood and Mary Hood (Way); his son Joseph; and his siblings, Lon Jr., Jim (Helen), Roberta Fisher, Mary Helen Seis and Kay Kincer.
He is survived by: his wife Lajla Hellickson; his children, Laura Hood Beckman (Keith) and Tim Hood (Shannon); his grandchildren, Dasan (Christina), Teagan (Nathan), Grace and Ian; his great grandchild Charlie; and his siblings, Sylvia Winfield, Wallace (Nancy) and Pat (Gwen) of New London, MN. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and sister-in-law.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to Annandale Pioneer Park or the St. John's Cemetery Committee are preferred.
