He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold and Ida; his grandson Payton; and his sister Linnea McKenzie. He is survived by: his wife Mary; his sons, Joshua (Kim) of New Ulm, Marcus (Eva) of Milaca, Matthew (Tiffany) of New Brighton, Paul (Tracy) of Kimball, Seth of Watkins and Jonathan of Kimball; his grandchildren, Tyler, Haley, Justine, Isaac, Erin, Breanna, Jordan, Kaiden, Collin, Calvin, Madalyn, Ashton, Caleb, Amelia, Zain and Levi; and his brother Russel. He is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren.
Memorials are preferred to Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Middleville Township, Annandale.
