We announce the death of Ruth Hoien of Annandale, Minnesota, who passed away on July 31, 2026, at the age of 92. Ruth will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Maurice Dyrdahl and Alma Dyrdahl (Ramsey); and her siblings, Julian Dyrdahl (Ruth), Genevie Carriveau (John), Mary Ann McDougall (Gordon), Olive James (Loyal), James Dyrdahl and Robert Dyrdahl.

She is survived by: her husband Quinten "Lefty" Hoien of Annandale, MN; her sons, Steven Hoien (Vicki) of Annandale, MN, Mark Hoien (Kathrine) of Maple Grove, MN and John Hoien (DeAnna) of Buffalo, MN; her grandchildren, Kristi Abrahamson (Mark), David Hoien (Mallory), Austin Hoien, Alexa Hoien and Nicholas Hoien; her great grandchild Trenten Abrahamson; and her siblings-in-law, Maurine Dyrdahl, Michael and Naomi Hoien. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
