He was predeceased by: his parents, Stephen Zimmer and Elizabeth Zimmer (Markette); his sister Elverna Anderson; and his siblings-in-law, Gordon Anderson, Richard Glynn and Doris Glynn.

He is survived by: his wife Nancy Shoblom of Annandale; his daughter Michelle; his son-in-law Ken Mickett of Prior Lake; his grandchildren, Sydney and Benjamin Mickett; and his sister-in-law Betty Chapin (Lyle) of Blaine. He is also survived by other family members and friends.
