She was predeceased by: her father Robert Pennar; her sister Terry Pennar Smith; her son Thomas Michael Neilson; and her mother Fern Robbins Pennar. She is survived by: her husband James Neilson; her children, Steven Neilson (Kathy), Debra Enebak (Scott) and Scott Neilson (Michelle); her grandchildren, Tara McDonough (Kevin), Lindsay Mossinger (Matthew), Brian Neilson (Samantha Heineck), Madison Röbbecke (Kai), Meghan Benton, Nolan and Colin Neilson; and her great grandchildren, Valerie McDonough, Ellis, Theo, Ethan Mossinger, Emma Neilson and Ida Röbbecke.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials to be sent to St. Stephen's Catholic School, 506 Jackson Street, Anoka, MN 55303, for the perpetual scholarship fund in memory of Thomas M. Neilson.
