He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Hammer and Mabel Hammer. He is survived by: his children, Raymond Hammer (Lisa), Charlotte Wenger (Bob), Thomas Hammer (Jeanne) and Robert Hammer (Lorna); Robert Wavinak (Vicki) and Sue Casey (Jeff). He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 6th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Hillside Chapel (2610 19th Ave NE, Minneapolis, MN 55418). A memorial service was held on Saturday, December 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Hillside Funeral Chapel and Cemetery (2610 19th Ave NE, Minneapolis, MN 55418). A graveside service was held on Saturday, December 6th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at the Hillside Cemetery (2600 19th Ave NE, Minneapolis, MN 55418).
