It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ernest Edward Lenertz of Apple Valley, Minnesota, who passed away on September 12, 2025, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his siblings, Patrick, Carmilita Streeper and Marcella Zaback; his siblings-in-law, Gene Streeper and Brenda Lenertz; and his siblings' children, Darrin Lenertz and Nadine Shaw.
He is survived by: his wife Marvel Borud; his daughters, Linda Wahl (Dan), Brenda Heisler (Darrin) of West Fargo, ND and Tanya Bertrand (Joe); his grandchildren, Danielle Navrude (Connor), Jenny Mooney (Noah), Ethan Bergseth, Zachary Bergseth (Tulsi), Josh, Alease and John Bertrand; his great grandchildren, Madelyn, Harper Navrude and Luke Mooney; and his siblings, Robert Lenertz (Carol), Myron Lenertz, Clarice Michels (Darrell) and Tammy Leupp.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 3rd 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Anderson Chapel (14850 Garrett Ave, Apple Valley, MN 55124). A Mass will be held on Monday, November 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In place of flowers, memorials can be given to Feed My Starving Children or Mayo Clinic Cancer Research and Care Fund.
