He was predeceased by: his wife Nguyễn Thị Thuận; and his daughter Nguyễn Ngọc Bích Annette. He is survived by: his children, Thắng, Vinh (Ninh), Susan Hoan, Hieu, Peter Hiển (Mỹ), Chính and Quang (Jill). He is also survived by 20 grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 14th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, November 15th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, November 15th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Church of St. Anne - St. Joseph (2627 Queen Ave N, Minneapolis, MN 55411). A graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 15th 2025 from 11:45 AM to 12:15 PM at the Gethsemane Cemetery (8151 N 42nd Ave, New Hope, MN 55427).
