With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Margaret Sankey of Apple Valley, Minnesota, who passed away on March 12, 2026 at the age of 100. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Sankey and Dorothy Sankey (Hennings); her husbands, Ben Butterfield and Alex Gomez; her daughter Dorothy Butterfield (Janie Abundis); her grandchildren, Tracy Butterfield, Michael Butterfield, Joanne LaMothe and Michelle Nuwash; her great grandchild Omar Sanchez; and her siblings, Ted Hennings, Ella Elbert (Rudy), Dorothy Sankey, Robert Sankey (Betty), Nellie Hauenstein (Elmer), Raymond Sankey (Arlis), Pauline Bleich (Herman), Delbert Sankey and Hazel Bleich (Louis).

She is survived by: her children, Janice Nuwash of Blaine, MN, Albert Butterfield (Isabel) of Farmington, NM, Roy Butterfield (Jackie) of Kirtland, NM, Leola Martinez (Alex) of Amarillo, TX, Sheri Butterfield LaMothe of Hesperia, CA, Rosie Boerboom (Scott) of Apple Valley, MN, Maria Boyenga (Roger) of Humble, TX and Alex Vega (Keren) of Atlanta, GA. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, and friends.
