He is survived by: his brother Gaylord; his wife Margaret Troland; his children, Paul (Teri) and Lynn Olson (Ray); his grandchildren, Alyssa McDermott (Nick), Luke, Logan, Andrea, Jenna and Ray; and his great grandchildren, Raena and Brooks McDermott.
