She was predeceased by : her husband Dr. Willard Van Pelt; her parents, Roman Shinsky and Caroline Shinsky; her sisters, Pat Wenke, Joan Johnston and Louise Headly; and her pet Scooter Butt.

She is survived by : her daughters, Renee Denning (Russ) and Deborah Kinder (Frank); her sisters, Kathy Rolf and Eileen Klima; her grandchildren, Andrea Denning, Aaron Denning, Frank Kinder Jr. (Renate) and Joe Kinder (Alexandra); and her great grandchildren, Brittney Denning, Isabel Kinder, Jaxson Kinder and Dominick Kinder. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
