He was predeceased by: his father Marvin Matthies; his daughter Jessica; and his great grandchild Baby Michael Pryne. He is survived by: his children, Kristy Matthies, Nancy Melton (Tim), Tracy Scharfbillig (Joe) and Matthew Matthies (Courtney); and his sisters, Paulette Bork (Doug), Judy Michaelson (Roger) and Shirley Bartz. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
