He is survived by: his former wife Elizabeth Hjortsberg; his close friend Helen Bernstein of Gaylord, MN.; and his children, Michael Kurtzweg (Tracy) of Apopka, FL, Daniel Kurtzweg of Long Lake, MN, Steven Kurtzweg (Kelly) of Maple Grove, MN, Cindy (Matthew Young) of Medicine Lake, MN, Nicholas Kurtzweg (Michelle Baldwin) of Gaylord, MN and Gail Redeker (Jason). He is also survived by eleven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Memorials are preferred and directed to St. Paul's Lutheran School in Arlington, MN.
