With sadness, we share the passing of Dorothy Brockhoff of Arlington, Minnesota. Dorothy, born on July 20, 1939, passed away on September 29, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Byer and Mabel Byer (Wenzlaff); her husband Earl; her siblings, Ervin Byer and Irma Nelson; her parents-in-law, Edward and Malinda Brockhoff; and her brothers-in-law, Marvin Brockhoff (Violet) and Gilbert Brockhoff (Elaine).
She is survived by: her children, Debora Panning (Alan), Green Isle, Sandra Herrmann (Lorn) of New Germany and Joan Thomes (Paul) of Chaska, MN.; her grandchildren, Brandon Panning (Shari), Colin Panning, Adam Herrmann (Marie), Tara Kaletka (Brian), Josh Thomes, Alex Thomes and Seth Thomes; her children, Marshall (Emma Panning), Austin (Aria Herrmann), Noah (Logan Kaletka) and Landen Hanson (Alexander Thompson); her siblings, Melvin Byer (LaVonne), Geri Wischnack, JoAnn Kroells (Robert) and Sharon Shimota (Chuck); and her sister-in-law Caroline Byer. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 9:30 AM. A memorial service was held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St Paul's Lutheran Church (240 Cleveland Ave, Green Isle, MN 55338).
