He was predeceased by: his mother Ruth Freed (Hansen); his brother Joel Freed; and his in-law James Hamel (Mary). He is survived by: his father Willard Freed (Ruth); his wife Nancy Hamel; his daughters, Jennifer Zyirek of Svea and Stephanie Baas (Ted) of Sartell; his grandchildren, Angelica Johnson, Penelope, Clementine, Magnus and Scout Baas; his siblings, Linda Bjornberg (Allan), John Freed (Marie), Mark Freed (Terry) and Lois Freed; and his close friend Charles McKaige. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
