He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Ackerman and Violet Ackerman (Lindblad); and his siblings, John Ackerman and Harriet Johnson. He is survived by: his wife Karen Christiensen; his children, Jody Krueger (Allen), Jill Ackerman (Darrin Herd), Jennifer Welling (Matthew), Jessica Vatthauer (Dale) and Jonathon Ackerman (Rachael); his grandchildren, Caitlyn Chronister (Jake), Carlie Krueger, Chayce Krueger (Hannah), Gracie Jackson (Nic), Gentrie, Gradie, Grissum Vatthauer, Paige, Preston Welling, Violet, Leo and Ollie Ackerman; and his siblings-in-law, Debbie Christiensen and Larry Johnson.
