She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Berdice and Katherine Berdice (Sterk); her husband Walter Loren Schmitz; her grandson Nic Johnson; and her brothers, Edward and Carl.
She is survived by: her children, Christine Isakson (Jeff) of Cloquet, Bonnie Johnson (Scott) of Rock Island, Ill, Mike Schmitz (Patti) of Virginia and Sandra Johnson (Lanny) of Plymouth; and her siblings, Anna Rose Forward, Frances White and Donald Berdice. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; ten great grandchildren.
Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers.
