With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Bernard William Walter of Austin, Minnesota, who passed away on December 14, 2022 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Walter and Rose Walter (Heimer); his parents-in-law, Nyles and Kate Van Hooser (Rothamel); his sister Helen; his brother-in-law Marshall "Snerd" Green; his daughter Cynthia Schubert; and his son-in-law Randy Morris.

He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Van Hooser; his children, Paul Walter (Ann) of Lyle, Leanne Morris of Austin, Teresa Bartholomew (Joe) of Austin, Kathleen Davis (Shawn) of Lyle and Brad Walter (Tara) of Lyle; his son-in-law Mike Schubert of Brownsdale; and his siblings, Jerome Walter (Mary), Bill Walter (Carolyn), Mary Jane Diggins (Dick), Pat Walter, Doug Walter (Sue) and Dan Walter (Kathy). He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren.
